If you love dances, lock-ins,
making new friends, water parks, movies, and music, the Middle School Program
is just what you've been looking for. Fort Campbell
provides recreational
and educational programs for Middle School
youth
in 6th -
8th grade. The activities within the programs
are fun, diverse, and, youth-driven. The
goal of this program is to provide youth with many wide-ranging
recreational, social, leadership and volunteer opportunities that
will ultimately prevent at-risk behavior during the transition from
childhood
to
young adulthood.
The Teen Program offers activities planned by teens, for teens. Activities offered
include: social activities,
volunteer
opportunities, job preparation and referral, and community
service
opportunities. We are affiliated with The Boys & Girls
Club of America, 4-H Club, and Character Counts.
The Teen program at Fort Campbell strives to provide the challenges, experiences, and support to help teens develop to their fullest potential. Youth development programs exist to promote positive, healthy, development of teens. To maximize youth developmental efforts, teen programs target four service areas - life skills and leadership opportunities, mentoring and intervention and support services, leisure and recreation activities, as well as health and fitness.
Operation Purple: A camp for children of deployed service members. Ages 10-12. June 20-27.
Green Camp: an environmental camp for children of deployed service members. Ages 10-12. July 26-31.

CYS Services has identified 4 key areas of service that provide a healthy,
stimulating, and positive environment for youth:

~Mentoring and Support Services
Both the Middle School and Teen Programs offer these
service areas by providing different types of clubs, social events,
and by
partnering
with 4-H of America, Boys & Girls Club of America, and championing
Character Counts values in all youth. Our clubs include:
Outdoor Adventure,
Smart Moves Clubs(Life-Skills & Informed Decision-making),
Image Makers (Photography),
Nutrition Club,
Performing Arts Club,
Creative Arts Program,
Fishing Club,
Archery "Target on Life" Club,
Science Club,
Homework Lab,
and Keystone & Torch Clubs (Leadership Skills and Community
Service). We also have a Technology Club Youth Sponsorship Program which
helps relocate youth to become familiar with their new home at Fort
Campbell
and assists young adults when moving to
a new post. We are always looking for new
youth sponsors. Our Jr. Executive Committee is comprised
of youth who with Youth Services administration to integrate new
programs and ideas into the Youth Services program. Our Fitness Authority is a
program that provides fitness activities, nutritional
and well-being education and allows youth to organize and plan
their own athletic tournaments.

Home to the Middle School and Teen of Fort Campbell, Taylor Youth Center
(TYC) is a state-of-the-art facility that provides a wide variety of programs,
game rooms, and social areas including: a computer lab, a dance/martial arts
studio, a gymnastics room, a gym, and activities such as billiards, pool, video
games, and table games. Open
recreation, dances, lock-ins, and trips are events of special importance to
our youth. Day camps, contests, special events, sports and gaming
tournaments, theme parties
and
cultural events are also held at the center.

In support of the Army Family Covenant, Child, Youth & School Services offers respite childcare two Saturdays each month from 9:00am to 5:00pm and one Friday a month from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. All parents who have an MWR Spouse Discount Card are eligible for this service. Children must be registered with CYS Services in order to participate.
