The Part Day Preschool Program provides an opportunity for children to develop an early learning experience. Through careful observation of the child’s interest we develop and create activities that will stimulate them and keep them interested throughout the time that they are in the programs care. This type of Curriculum is known as “Creative Curriculum”.
Each child is assigned a primary caregiver that will inform you of your child’s progress while in our program. The caregiver will monitor and provide you with monthly samples of the child’s handwriting, cutting, and art. Parents are also encouraged to participate with ideas pertaining to the interests of their children so that they can be incorporated into the curriculum as it relates to the activities as they take place. The participation of parents is important to the program as it assists us in meeting the growth and developmental need of each individual child.
Our program consists of a Parent Advisory Council (PAC), which meets monthly. This council works along with the staff to help ensure a successful program. All parents are welcomed to come and join the PAC.
The program has an open door policy.

The Part Day Preschool Program is designed to educate the “whole” child: physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially, linguistically, and aesthetically.
We will strive to address the needs of the developing child and provide many educational opportunities for children to manipulate a wide variety of material as they work independently in groups and with their caregivers.
We invite and encourage children to observe, explore, investigate, and experiment through open-ended activities and explorations of materials.
We will strive to create a relaxed, responsive, happy, and intellectually stimulating atmosphere. Our program is characterized by warm, positive accepting attitudes towards all children. By taking into account children’s differing learning styles, these patterns of development are valued and respected. |
Give your preschooler the advantage of hands-on learning adventures with the Child, Youth & School Services (CYSS) Part-Day Preschool. This program has been designed with an interactive curriculum to stimulate preschoolers physical, intellectual, emotional, social and cognitive development by providing a positive and friendly early-learning experience. The Pre-School Program is designed for children ages 3-5 years old.
We also offer a Part Day Toddler program, age 24 months to 36 months. The program strives to develop the whole child and provides toddlers with a strong sense of self. Toddlers are encouraged to participate in activities that are geared toward physical, intellectual, emotional, social and cognitive development.
Our staff is trained in Creative Curriculum, where children learn essential skills through purposeful play. We foster independence in children by allowing exploration through different experiences and themes in a safe and nurturing environment.
Our mission at the Part Day Program is to provide quality care for your children in this unique and nurturing setting.
The Part Day Pre-School and Toddler Program (PDPS/TP) offers a morning and afternoon session that operates from 0830-1130 and 1300-1600 Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or the 2 day program on Tuesday and Thursday. |
