Whether you are looking for a place for your child to be for a couple of hours while you take care of errands or for an entire day, it ‘s important to know your child will receive quality child care. All Child, Youth and School Services Division (CYSSD) Programs provide a healthy and safe environment, nutritious meals and snacks, specially trained staff, planned learning activities and materials appropriate for your child's age and development.
The Hourly Care Program is designed as a short term child care option for parents with children between 6 weeks and 5 years. It has been specifically tailored to meet the needs of those who require care for times when they are volunteering, in-processing, assuming respite care duties or having a doctor’s appointment. The program is also designed to give children the opportunity to socialize and interact with other children in their age group.

We nurture and provide love, trust and security in a healthy, positive and safe environment. Our focus is to enhance children's emotional, social, physical, intellectual and creative developmental needs. Through real experiences, the child/youth develops self control, independence, core values and is introduced to different cultures of the world. Strengthened by our training, we take the extra step to provide opportunities to master new skills through bonding, role modeling and forming relationships with children/youth and families. |
Reservations may be made in person or by phone (270.412.4477/4889). Simply call or visit the center and request the date and times when you will be in need of care. Reservations may be made up to three weeks in advance but, are not to exceed 20 hours in any one week. If reservations must be cancelled, please call no later than 8:00 am the day of the reservation. In an effort to provide quality service to all of our patrons, some polices must be enforced. Failure to cancel a reservation will result in one hour of care being charged to the household. Payment for services must be paid for when you pick up your child(ren). The cost is $3.50 per hour (with the MWR Discount card it is $2.00). Meals and Snacks will be provided at appropriate times. A one hour minimum reservation is required.
In order to support (staffing) all children must be picked up promptly. If you are running late for you pick up time, please call the center to ensure space is available for your child to remain at the center. |
